It came from gtk2-engines-industrial, whereas the "ugly" one should be what is
bundled with X.

$ update-alternatives --display x-cursor-theme
x-cursor-theme - status is auto.
 link currently points to /usr/share/themes/Industrial/cursor.theme
/etc/X11/cursors/core.theme - priority 30
/etc/X11/cursors/redglass.theme - priority 20
/etc/X11/cursors/whiteglass.theme - priority 20
/etc/X11/cursors/handhelds.theme - priority 20
/usr/share/themes/Industrial/cursor.theme - priority 40
Current `best' version is /usr/share/themes/Industrial/cursor.theme.
$ dpkg -S /usr/share/themes/Industrial/cursor.theme
gtk2-engines-industrial: /usr/share/themes/Industrial/cursor.theme
$ dpkg -S /etc/X11/cursors/core.theme
xlibs-data: /etc/X11/cursors/core.theme
