Hardly anything fancy, an old AMD Athlon XP 1700+ on a nForce 1 MSI
motherboard.

the install CD installs "fine" (bar the 'usual' K/B layout problem, and
the monitor that was not detected properly anymore). But I reboot it, it
hangs at "Entering runlevel 2", like the Live CD does...

For me too. I only use Warty for normal use, but decided to start
testing Hoary as well in parallel.

I have not seen much change compared to Warty, but then again, it was
stuck at 640x480, so it's hard to tell ! ;o)
All I saw is the exact same looks and sounds as Warty. apart from the
extra "Places" menu at the top, it looks like Warty.
I am now waiting for Array 5, hopefully it will work properly, so I can
spent more time on it and appreciate the work that is being done by our
lovely developpers !
