mutt "from" header

I don't use mutt on Ubuntu, but on a Mandrake system  I have something
like this in my muttrc to make sure my from header is the correct one:

send-hook . \
       'my_hdr From: John Doe <John Doe at domain.com>

Is that what you tried?
