problem installing rubygems on ubuntu amd64 warty

hey guys!

i have a ubuntu64 system where i want to host a webapp that i created
with ruby on rails. to install rubygems.
i have 3 other ubuntu systems running (i32), and there i had no problem.
but with ubuntu64 the rubygems installer fails with:

/usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/package.rb:150: [BUG] Segmentation fault

i think this is a general problem of ruby on ubuntu64.
