mk4250 hd unsupported?

I'm having some issues getting my HP/Compaq TC1100 to run ubuntu. I'm
having to netboot due to a lack of cdrom or floppy drive on it or a
usb in my possession (assuming usb cdroms are now supported for the
install). So, I've tried both the warty and the latest hoary netboot
and both ended up with the same problem, if not the same symptoms. On
the hoary netboot, when I reach the partitioning of the drives, the
install says that its missing a partitionable hard drive. On the
warty netboot, when I reach the partitioning menus, there are no
paritions listed (including the 10 gig Windows partition on the larger
40 Gig hd) and Guided Partitioning just leads me back to a forced
choosing of Manual Partitioning (no other options are given). Now,
according to this Windows partition I left on here, the hard drive in
question is a "Toshiba MK4250GAS" but my googling leads me nowhere
with that information. Is there a module I need to append to the boot
command or is this somehow unsupported or did I futz up my netboot in
some special, wonderful way?
