Weather applet connection to internet

Hi all

I have a quirk in the weather applet connecting to the net....

Bit 'o history.

When I built my laptop (colony2 or thereabouts) I had ISDN dial up 
running on a windows box on my lan, all internet connections were 
through a proxy on the win box.

Have subsequently upgraded to ADSL, my laptop / ubuntu box / windows box 
connects diretly through the router, the windows box still runs proxy so 
my 2 kids pc's connect through that to the net (so I can have the 
illusion of control!)

Anyway, no problems converting the laptop to the router except for the 
weather applet.  If proxy not running it does not update - so it is 
still using the proxy to connect.  Have tried looking everywhere for 
where it sets it connection info to no avail.  Anyone know where it sets 
it connection settings?
