Odd.  I've never noted such an attitude.  I started with Corel Linux, and
when it became apparent they were never going anywhere, I switched to pure
Debian, and only moved to Ubuntu because it had a faster release cycle.  

I see no difference in complexity between Debian and Ubuntu - so it's not as
if people choose Ubuntu because Debian's too complex.  

All linuxes have their snobby arrogant wankers, and Ubuntu perhaps less than
most, but I remain subscribed to the same Debian lists I always followed,
because they're full of helpful people.
