problem with stellarium (0.6.2-3ubuntu1)--- Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)

hello all;

i just have a problem while i was trying to run stellarium on my ubuntu
laptop.

the installation finished without any problem. apt-get fetched a deb file
for stellarium 6.9.2-3 and installed it without any complain.

however when i tryed to run it, it gave me a "Fatal signal: Segmentation
Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)" error, and the program terminated.

what was it? was that a bug or i had done anything wrong?

***my laptop system is dell inspiron 700m, and the ubuntu installation was
ubuntu 5.10
