Is Ubuntu's (actually, Linux's) problem with nVidia graphics resolved?

Hey,
The problem is with the default nvidia drivers. These are open source and
have issues. The simplest workaround is to type in a terminal:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx
sudo nvidia-glx-config enable
This will not however install the 32-bit compatability libraries. For those
the official nvidia binaries will be necessary.
