Yes.  Apache is a web server and it doesn't come with a built-in Servlet container.  You have to install tomcat (the container you need to run your JSP).  I would suggest that you download-n-install the Sun Java Studio Enterprise 8.0 from java.sun.com.  That will help you a _lot_.
