Ubuntu and Pentium 630

The Ubuntu download (ship it) software site has the new 5.10 Breezy Badger for 64bit, that is supposed to work for either Intel or AMD PC's. I run the 32bit myself on AMD 32 i386. For Pentium processors, it's either i586, or i686 depending on the processor and MHz rating. Since the Pentium 64 works differently than the AMD, I understand that you can run either the 32 or 64, because the Pentium 64 takes the 64, breaks it into 32 for distribution on the motherboard, then sends it back out as 64. This is what I have been told(I'm not swearing on a Bible for it!). The AMD 64 is supposedly true 64 through the whole system! If you run the new Windows 64 on a Pentium, there is a problem with running IE in 64 mode. Plus, the internet is not really set up yet to handle the 64bit transmissions. It's probably going to take some time for everybody to switch over to 64!

Hi Xiyan
I have a Pentium 4 650 CPU, and I use the AMD64 ISO.
However, not all things like 64-bit linux so for better compatibility
use the standard x86 ISO.
