I have downloaded this:
linux-headers-2.6.12-10-k7 which has installed this:
linux-headers-2.6.12-10 linux-headers-2.6.12-10-k7
and now I'm downloading this:
linux-source-2.6.12 build-essential cpp-3.4 g++ g++-4.0 gcc gcc-3.4
gcc-3.4-doc gcc-4.0 libstdc++6-4.0-dev
(all the stuff that comes with build-essential, and linux-sources, juste
for this accelerator to install :o )
There are several documentations in where I go and fetch disparate
infos. For example, specifics for KQemu+Qemu under Ubuntu Breezy do not
exist, but recrossing info is possible.
There is one thing I ignore yet, about compilation. Should the
compilation be done in the /home/user rather than in /usr/local or
/usr/src ? if ...
if... why and what for ? or to avoid what ? some docs say one way,
others the other way, what to think about it ?
Should it be different for common tools and application than for the
kernel compilation ?
Thanks, Joyce Markoll.
