yes, and i've tried it from this too : http://nl3.php.net/phpinfo

i'm using breezy, and i have these php- and apache-packages installed :
apache2-common
apache2-mpm-prefork
apache2-utils
libapache2-mod-php5
php5-common

ls -la /etc/apache2/mods-enabled :
actions.load -> /etc/apache2/mods-available/actions.load 
cgi.load -> /etc/apache2/mods-available/cgi.load
php5.conf -> /etc/apache2/mods-available/php5.conf
php5.load -> /etc/apache2/mods-available/php5.load 
userdir.conf -> /etc/apache2/mods-available/userdir.conf
userdir.load -> /etc/apache2/mods-available/userdir.load

i've installed apache + php5 like this :
sudo apt-get remove apache2* php5*
sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-php5

then made the (above) symlinks and then :
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
