dunno about a howto, and I don't have an ms-windows machine to test this
with, but if you go to System->Administration->Shared Folders  and click
"Add" it will give you the option to install samba, (if not already
installed), once that is installed, you should be able to tell it what
folder you want to share, and it will work from there. 

Again, I haven't *tested* this, but it's worth a try. It seems top work
fine with my Linux boxen, I just haven't tested it with redmondware.
