There's a lot to cover - database theory including normal forms,
the SQL language, and then the quirks and features of MySQL.

Whichever book you choose, I suggest you install webmin and
webmin-mysql as it's a convenient way of working hands-on with
MySQL and will help to make the theory more concrete.
