Gnome hangs loading metacity

When I login, if I choose "Last session" or "Gnome" then gnome hangs
loading metacity. If I load "Failsafe Gnome" it boots fine.

In ~/.xsession-errors I see this:

Window manager warning: Failed to read saved session
file /home/giorgos/.metacity/sessions/1135291483-8468-2423500513.ms:
Failed to open file
'/home/giorgos/.metacity/sessions/1135291483-8468-2423500513.ms': No
such file or directory



What should I do? I didn't delete that file so how did it get removed?
This happened after I rebooted saving my session.
