Hello Anders,

Yup, but once they have a kid aged 5 years or over then it becomes
less of an issue anyway because the kid can just go install Ubuntu
herself. :)

I think you will find they will settle for $199 or so. Only when you
get to their server operating systems you start to get into the range
of typical not-overly-virtuous souls.

Yes, ESPECIALLY BSD. Meet the stuck-up ueber-geek-fundamentalist
'real'-unix-nazi's.. yech. :)
But Apple people are almost as annoying, glorifying how stupid the
thing allows them to be. "Oh sorry, I completely don't know what "Avi"
or "Mpeg" or "megabytes" or anything mean; I just put my camera within
3 feet of my Mac for 10 minutes and it spit out an edited DVD with
nice menus all by itself, even the label was already on it. No sorry,
I don't know what "Firewire" means, I guess that's for plugging your
computer into your firewall or whatever? Don't need that, Macs have
security built in anyway." :)

"I don't think my Mac even uses RAM, I don't know what that is anyway,
I mean other than Ram in Chinese astrology I suppose, but even if
it did have RAM then for sure it wouldn't be in any way "dodgy" in my
Mac, it wouldn't." :-)
It's remarkable really that Mac people don't get beaten up more often.

"The only manuals that came with my Mac was 4 page introduction flyer
that showed in cartoon drawings how to get it out of the box and plug
it into the mains. But anyway the cat ate it before I read any of it
but of course it didn't matter because the plug on my mac was really
just the same as on any toaster or anything. On Macs everything looks
and works the same, did I mention how easy they are to use?".
<whack> :)
Cheers,
