Make & Gaim Plugin: gaim-rhythmbox

So here is the status of this projects... I was able to perform
./configure. Worked fine to my knowledge, ran "make". Then installed
"checkinstall", which worked as well. Checkinstall confirmed
installation also, however when I open gaim tool -> preferences ->
plugins I cannot find the plugin that I just installed.

I have restarted the application and the machine. Gaim does not see
it... what is going on? Do I need to create a soft link to a library
file or something?
