Did you create samba users that have access to your share?

The other question is going to be if the programs you want to share run from
a network drive

Subject: network file sharing help needed

Hello, I need to know how to setup a directory on my intranet server to be
used by any other computer on the network as a single repository of
programs. For example, they would be able to install Open Office to this
folder so that there is ONE installation not 6. I have already created a
folder called /samba with 775 permissions and told the server to make it a
shared network folder in "network neighborhood" but I can't see it from the
windows machines.

Troy.
