Master volume doesn't affect headphone volume

Hi there.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300, one of those with multimedia keys in the
front. Everything works on Ubuntu, except for a small problem: the
volume controls affect (correctly) the master volume, but when I'm
using headphones, their volume isn't affected by the master, turning
the volume controls useless then.

The sound card is an Intel ICH6.

Any ideas?
