I haven't run Windows since Win95, so I guess it hasn't replaced it :-)

On the other hand, I've experimented with Icepack Linux (now deceased), 
Knoppix, Mandrake (I'm not sure which version), Slackware 10, College 
Linux, Debian Woody, Libranet 2.8.1, and now Ubuntu/Kubuntu.

If at any chance I would be presented with a PC that had WinXP on it, I 
would convert that immediately to Debian Sarge, but in the meantime 
Ubuntu/Kubuntu (Breezy) will do me for the moment
