Ubuntu *does* give you options, many of them are just not installed by default
or included on the install CD. So what's the big fucking deal? If you
consider yourself to be an expert, power, or whatever user, you surely have
no problems to install nautilus-open-terminal and mailx, now do you?

Nobody got rid of that feature, it's just left as an option. There's actually
a big difference. And again, who makes a big deal out of not being able to
launch a terminal via right click out of the box?
