Hard Drive Check Forced

I have noted that after the disk check is over, there appeared something
like "... is only 2.6%. No further action needed" or something like
that. I couldn't see it properly because the message went away quickly.

Any idea what might have been happening? Was it the "fragmentation
status" of my hard drive (2.6% fragmented)? Where can I lookup this
info in my system (any logfile?)
