'Hibernate' 'reboots' machine :)

this seems to be a issue of your kernel or your hardware.

afaik the kernel is doing everything right but then breaks when it
initializes the devices
try 1by1 to suspend
while in textmode only
with all sound modules unloaded
all modules unloaded
hardware detached

if that does not help, build your kernel from vanilla or wait for the
next update and pray for change
in my case it took 2.6.1-2.6.10 to get usefull - framebuffer support
came with 2.6.13 and i still wait for wlan..... everything takes its
times. with new hardware it takes longer until it got reengenieerd -
just be patient or start up a debugger
