No. I know that once the interface is present, I can
configure it. eth0 and eth1 are already there, and I
have the option of configuring them. However, there is
no option to delete these interfaces or add another.
The add/delete buttons simply are not present. Now why
aren't they? I have added wlan0 to
/etc/network/interfaces to no effect.

I am using a US Robotics USR5420 usb wireless adapter
based on the Broadcom chipset. I have installed the
driver using ndiswrapper. This same driver works on
SuSE 9.3 (although the driver causes kernel crashes
from time to time). However, when I do "ndiswrapper
-l" on Ubuntu I get the message:

usr5420: invalid driver!

"lsusb" shows the hardware is present.

The same driver with the same hardware with
ndiswrapper 1.7 is recognized and usable on SuSE.

So, any advice?

Corvin
