Well I had a similar problem:

I wanted to have my iRiver hooked up to my Ubuntu system.

What I did was open google and type:
Linux iRiver .deb

1st(!) page was 100% succes: http://ifpgui.sourceforge.net/

and now my iRiver has a gnome-gui when I have it connected.

Google my friend has all your answers.

Linux Opera .DEB

does the same ;) 1st page gets you to a download. The crucial parts
here are to start with 'Linux' and have '.deb' in your search. That way
it'll also include .deb-packages.
You could also search for tar.gz (gzipped file).

And if all fails: ASK HERE. I've found so many cool apps just cuz
someone asked about it on this forum :) :)
