Video output is stopped on Ubuntu 5.10 (breezy) and Mac mini after kernel loads

Thanks for your kind reply. I don't have the energy or time to try
this until tomorrow, but, silly question (b/c I can't see it when I'll
do it ;-):
How do I choose vesa? Or is it the very first entry?
Another thing I'll try after Tuesday (very busy until then ;-) is to
work with the Live CD and see if I can do something -- would it be
possible to reconfigure the xserver-xorg on the HD using the Live CD?
