One of the great mysteries of the universe, that.  Seeing as they've had
to subscribe, which isn't that different a process;  clicking different
boxes on the same web page and replying to one email.

There is a chance that some email readers can strip off the message
footer that tells you how to do it, but even so...

I do have a ready drafted set of detailed step by step instructions
which I send directly (off list) to such benighted souls.  Strangely
I've never had a thankyou, but I haven't been flamed for it yet either.
