Gnome 2.12.1 and ogg

Well, I just discovered something interesting,

I am downloading some MP3's from the net then encoding them to ogg.

About I try to mostly use OSS, so it would seem stranged the gnome previews
mp3's but will not do it with ogg,

To be honest I would have thought it to be the other way round.

In case I am not being clear, when I hover my mouse over an mp3 nautilus
plays a preview of it, but if its encoded to ogg it does not.

Is it just me or does anyone else notice this?
