Multi-function printers in Ubuntu

Ok have just tested printing without the colour cartrdige but to no
avail...it runs throught he printing but nothing prints...perhaps
having only one cartdrige in stops it from working... will try and find
an empty cartdrige to test...

Anyone else on this???

recap: The psc 1210 only prints black using the colour cartridge...
