Mounted Partition problem

I have two hard drives set up as follows:

hda  	15Gb 	XP(ntfs)

hdb1 	20GB	XP(Fat32)
hdb2 	20Gb	Ubuntu

I sucessfully mounted hdb1 using:

mount /dev/hdb1 /media/ft32 -t vfat

When I open /media/ft32 I can see the folders on hdb1 however the icons 
displayed with them are the gnome footprints, they don't open when 
double clicked and they dissappear when right clicked. What did I do 
wrong or didn't I do?
