non-root scanner

I had the same problem with an HP Officejet G85.  It scanned once after
installation but then it stopped working.  Took me a while to figure
out that I needed to insmod the ppdev module.  When you do that
/dev/parport0 shows up.  This looks like some installation error that
forgets to configure ppdev to load at boot.  Hand-editing /etc/modules
should be a way to fix it permanently.
