I have just setup Ubuntu as a SBS for company I consult for.
Setup is as follows
Samba3 PDC / LDAP Authentication
Kolab using the same LDAP Server
Toltec outlook connector ( only 13 buck a seat )
I was able to set up roaming profiles/ home drives startup script,
shared calendering address books and email. Users can also change there
password with Ctrl alt del and machines are automatically added to the
OU=Computer when they join the domain. I have also set a default
profile for new users. The only thing left is the ability to push
software to the desktop. I am also reviewing setting up a mac to this
network.
GPOs would be nice but I can live without them
To administer it all I use LAM
