Apparently, so. Do you have any idea why selecting 'Mark for Complete
Removal' in Synaptic does not delete ~/.gconf/apps/baobab? I moved the
baobab folder from .Trash back to .gconf, rebooted, and then it appeared
in gconf editor. I cleared the variable 'noscan' and reinstalled
Baobab. This time it opened. However, now the apps/baobab folder is
completely gone from my system; It is in neither ~/.gconf nor in
~/.Trash. Go figure.

Also, after a quick examination, it appears that the file sizes in the
directory tree are mislabeled by a couple of orders of magnitude, e.g.
my root directory shows 928 GB but the whole disk drive is only 30GB.

As a certified fool, I am very good at helping developers foolproof
their product :)
