On 'Boinc download page' (http://http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php)
are several clients/managers/scripts/tools ;) So You can use the
official one. I did it via their package and all is perfect, seti is
running (without the graphics and einstein have graphics by default
(mean the result graphisc-screensaver) Their manager seem to be fine,
client could be used any already runned.

In synaptic there is also boinc-client and setiathome, xsetiathome and
some other packages (but not official, check sarge repository for
debian :)
