Can't connect to vncserver on Ubuntu Breezy box

It sounds to me as though your firewall is blocking the VNC ports.
VNC uses 5901 for VNC 1 and 5907 for VNC 7.
What VNC port have you set up with vncserver and have you tried to see if
you can telnet to that port from an outside box?
What do you get when you run
sudo /sbin/iptables --list
