Thanks. I just read this and, based on it, I installed Baobab.  I 
received the following error within Synaptic:

E: Could not open file  - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Could not open file  - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Could not open file  - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Could not open file  - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Could not open file  - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Could not open file  - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Could not open file  - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Internal error opening cache (3). Please report.

I'm not sure if this is a Baobab problem or a Synaptic problem.
