yes,
the skype team says they use some external libraries that do not work with
PowerPC architecture.

I love my computer, but... sometimes the x86 architecture is much less
painful!!!
if i had it, i would probably have erased win from my computer.

Like he said though, there's no package for PPC.  All those packages
