USB mouse freezes after suspend

`Suspend' might not be the right term. I'm using a desktop PC at work
running Breezy. When I turn the monitor off and leave the machine on
overnight, I come back in the morning and the computer has gone to sleep or
whatever (turn the monitor on again and there's no signal). I tap something
on the keyboard and the computer wakes up, the system is running fine, but
the mouse pointer is frozen. I have to restart the computer to unfreeze the
mouse pointer. I guess I could maybe try just restarting X. It's a logitech,
three button + scroll USB mouse with a trackball, no optical or wireless.

Thanks for any suggestions!
