Which USB mp3 player to purchase?

Interestingly, the iriver actually came up a few weeks ago on the
list. The October issue of Tux Magazine, http://www.tuxmagazine.com,
which is available free in PDF format, has a really good article on
getting iRiver Digital Audio Players working with linux.  It discusses
the firmware.  Not sure if it works with the IFP-800
