Turning a wireless card into an access point

Hi Guilherme,

i can't quite help you out with you "master" problem, but if the
wireless card is working, just set it to ad hoc and enable ipforwarding
on your machine:

'$ sudo echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward'
'$ sudo /sbin/iptables -P FORWARD ALLOW'
'$ sudo /sbin/iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o wlan0 -j MASQUERADE'

(wlan0 bein your wireless interface.. check with iwconfig)

the other computers in your network need to enter your notebook's ip as
gateway. that should work out.

you might find something if you google for your wireless card and
'linux' or 'ubuntu'..
