no sound when playing WMV files

After doing the changes, copy your current "~/.xine" directory to
"/etc/skel" and change the permissions.  Do this:
        sudo /bin/cp -r ~/.xine /etc/skel
        sudo chown -R root:root /etc/skel
        sudo chmod -R u=rwX,go=rX /etc/skel/.xine

Note that the above will *not* take effect on current users!
