SCSI : "hot" plugging scanners ?

- turn the scanner on
- load the scsi-module specific for your scsi-card (e.g. aic7xxx or so)
- load the scsi-sg module
- check dmesg or appropriate /proc/scsi/ part to see whether it's there

that's how i've happily managed with a scsi-scanner like that in the
past :)
