Gnome question about Nautilus (OT?)

Hi,

I have a nautilus related question.  Not sure if it's considered
off-topic on this list.

I'm wanting to add to my Applications menu, but can't seem to get
"applications:///" open in the File Browser.  I get location not
found.  Is there something I have to setup to access this?
