Threaded and deprecated Qt

I got qt3-apps-dev to install, along with libqt3-mt-dev and libqt3c102,
but...

The OpenKiosk NodeView install script I'm running checks for Qt 3.x on
my box and can't find it:

There are 2 distinct Qt 3 packages listed in Synaptic: the Ubuntu supported one is said to be Threaded and there's an older one said to be deprecated.

Am I facing an incompatibility issue here?
Will it be impossible to try this OpenKiosk software?

I can't uninstall the threaded version of Qt because many other installed applications depend on it.
