Use keyserver.kjsl.com or subkeys.pgp.net.  Choosing a traditional pgp
keyserver like pgp.mit.edu will end up corrupting your public keys, and
you'll end up with duplicate self-signatures and all sorts of related fun
if you make use of newer openpgp options like multiple user id's.

I also don't use ldap for lookups, I just hkp or simply http.
