problem with shares

Hi

Been trying to sort out the networking and am getting this problem when I try to set up shared folders;

williamblake at neo-theone:~$ gksudo shares-admin
(shares-admin:12564): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.

Anybody know what I can do to sort this out?
