recommended laptop

I've had no problems with my Compaq x1000, except that the SD card
slot doesn't work (that's a general problem for all laptops with SD
slots as the drivers for that in Linux are still immature). The only
other little thing is that the LED "mute" light doesn't work - though
the mute button itself does. Everything else worked out of the box
from what I recall (first install Warty when it came out).
