Hiya,

First you need to get the repository available to the computer, this is
done by editing the
file /etc/apt/sources.list, using the command below you can open the
file for editing.

The password it looks for is yours.

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

then you need to add this line to the file

deb http://download.skype.com/linux/repos/debian/ stable non-free

Then save the file, update the sources, with the command.

apt-get update

now do your

apt-get install skype
