installing on laptop without boot

im after trying ubuntu on my old laptop (24mb ram, p133). but the 
problem is that i wont boot either from cd or floppy, and i cant get 
into the bios to chanage anything.

Ive tried starting the setup on my pc, then when it comes to the 
restart, putting the hard drive back into the laptop. It booted, but 
with errors and it wouldnt load.

Is there any otherway of getting it running on the laptop? Any tricks or 
something? Or is it about time i throw it out the window?
